Starting from Athens, visiting mainland & islands, Zakythos, Aegina
Day 1: Arrival in Athens. Visit to the AcropolisMuseum and then depart for Petraki Monastery. Veneration of holy relics. Later, we receive a traditional monastic treat, while we are welcomed to the Offices of the Holy Synod, by the Chief Secretary or the Synod’s Secretary Office of Pilgrimages and get a short briefing on the pilgrimage sites and visits. We settle in our Hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Breakfast and departure by ship to Aegina. Visit to the crowded women Monastery of St.Minas and the Pan-Orthodox shrine of St. Nektarios. Celebration of the sequence of Request. Visit to Ancient Temple of Aphaia and return to Athens. Visit for a pilgrimage to the sacred relics of St. Ephraim at Nea Makri at the homonymous Nunnery. Participation in the Liturgy of Vespers Abbey. Back in our hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Breakfast and departure to Ancient Corinth. Then visit to the historic first Monastery of Greece, the Monastery of the Great Cave, where among other things kept, is also one of the three images of the Virgin drew by the Apostle and Evangelist Luke. Departure for Patra, for a pilgrimage to the Holy relics of Apostle Andrew. Later, we depart by ship, towards one of the most beautiful Greek islands located in the Ionian Sea, Zakynthos. We settle in our Hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Breakfast and pilgrimage to the Holy Relics of St. Dionysios, followed by specific supplication for pilgrims. Visit to the ChurchMuseum of Zakynthos. Later, pilgrimage to holy relic piece of St. Joseph the Sanctified and participation in the sequence of Request. Departure for the church of the Life-Giving Spring, Bochali. Departure by ship to Kyllini and then route for Delphi. We settle in our Hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Breakfast and visit to the historical and archaeological site of Delphi. Later, visit to the women’s monastery of Prophet Elias in Amfissa. Reception, pilgrimage and participation in the traditional monastic treat. Departure and visit to the Monastery of Osios Loukas and the museum of the monastery. Departure for Kalambaka, at Meteora region. Arrival, dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Breakfast and visit to the Great Monasteries of Meteora (World Heritage of UNESCO), the Large Meteor monastery and Agios Stefanos monastery. Later, departure for Volos. Visit to the beautiful villages of Portaria and Makrynitsa and pilgrimage at the monasteries of Evangelism at Portaria and Archangels at Nilia. Back to Volos and pilgrimage to the city’s Cathedral of St Nicholas . We settle in our Hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Breakfast and departure for pilgrimage to the Holy Monasteries of Ano Xenias, where the miraculous icon of the Virgin and Kato Xenias, where the sacred piece of the Holy Belt of Our Lady is placed. Departure for Arkitsa and we take the boat to Evia. Visit to the Monastery of Saint David, then to the Lake of Evia and finally, pilgrimage to the whole-body relic of St. John the Russian. Later, we return to Athens, dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Breakfast and departure for the airport.
